Curiosity killed the cat

Sometimes the question is better than the answer
Sometimes the mystery is better than the truth
Sometimes it's just nice to wonder
Instead of always having something to prove

Curiosity killed the cat
As answers was what it was looking for
Satisfaction bought it back
But look at the dead mice it brought to the door

We go out looking for new stars and planets
When we investigate space
But did we think about how aliens (if they exist) would react to us
We never stop and contemplate

Some things are best left undiscovered
And some things we should never find
As we lose our common sense
And from danger we are blind
