Times when you should hide your laughter
She looks at me with a serious face,
hands on hips, not a hair in place.
'Me pissed on floor', she says with pride,
seeking approval with innocent eyes.
My jaw falls slack and i stop dead,
she grins and simply nods her head.
''Tell me again, what did you do?'
'Me pissed on the floor and me wet too'
I have to turn to hide my laughs
to get an answer when i ask,
'who told you that? who said that word?'
she looks away like she's not heard,
'You, mum' she says, 'you said it 'fore'.
'mummy, me pissed on the floor'.
