Imploding, inevitably

entry picture

A festival much-enjoyed by WOL members - click on the link to see the poem by Joy - is coming up again on 10 and 11 June. Set just 50 metres from the shore of England’s largest and most beautiful natural lake (Windermere), the Imploding Inevitable Festival, now in its second year, prides itself in being one of the few totally independent festivals, and also one of the UK’s most intimate, hosting just 200 weekend tickets. It also takes great consideration of the surrounding area being one the UK’s “areas of outstanding natural beauty”. The lineup includes Hannah Peel, John Fairhurst, Francois & Atlas Mountains, Liz Green, John Stammers, Samson & Delilah, Kathryn Edwards. Blank Media Collective, a multi-media arts collective based in Manchester, are producing a poetry/literature event that is experimental and inclusive while also featuring some of the UK’s finest poets.
