Second flight

 

05.04.11 - 9) Now aloft in a 767

Upwards towards heaven

Onwards and beyond

My first trip over the pond

In flight movie not so good

In flight system could be a dud

Not a movie to shock us

It was called “Meet the Fokker’s”

They tried to show it once

Still no joy, they tried in vain

Now it’s back on, third time lucky

At least it’s not about a doll called “Chucky”

I can’t hear it because just,

now my earphones have bust

Doesn’t matter it’s all in vain

Because the screen’s gone blank again

 

It least outside it’s not raining

The screen now showing something more entertaining

The temperature outside and our height

And the remaining time for flight

Both in English and in Dutch

Another language would be too much

And there’s something else just right

It shows the plane’s line of flight

Now it seems that as I’ve been writing

The in flight system they’ve been righting

Cos’ now there’s something else to view

A boat on a sea of blue

He looks familiar does a sailor

I wonder if I’ve seen the trailer

Now around the ships mat

I recognise more of the cast

I styli can’t heat cos’ it’s just

That my earphones are still bust

Still it could be somewhat groovy

Like watching an old silent movie

And though I can’t hear the movie score

In the cast I recognise some more

Yes how ironical

It’s a Narnia Chronicle

With a battle to make you wince

The good led by Caspian, Narnia’s Prince

While they were fighting in a bunch

Some passengers watched it, the rest had lunch

Now some exercise to keep away the pains

You get from deep thrombosis in your veins

 Then another movie horses on a track

The star seemed to be one who came from the back

To find what it’s about I must

Get some earphones to replace the ones that are bust

 

Second film done

The best horse won

He won’t be replacing a tractor

A family film with a feel good factor

Looking out of the window I find

Icelandand Greenland are well behind

As we fly on our way

Towards the USA

Yet to get there

Four and a half more hours in the air

I hope it will soon pass

For all including economy class

And how happy we’ll all be

Touching down in Memphis Tennessee
