Another day begins

 

08.04.11 - 20) The day dawned like any other

I’d spend the day with my Texan poet brother

But on the e mail was a shock

And it wasn’t even eight - o - clock

The e mail said as such,

Had the car hire firm taken too much

And there was an e mail from Thom

Adding to the aplomb

An accident laid his friend low

So to the events not to go

I sorted out the debit

But then would you credit

Before I had time to think

The sat nav went on the blink

At last sorted out

No getting lost when I went out

So I tried it on my own

When I went for a mobile phone

So now that’s out of the way

Time to go out and play

Play it cool, play the fool

Play it for laughs, make some gaffs

Keep ‘em amused, keep ‘em enthused

Whether from stage or floor

Keep ‘em asking for more.
