George Szirtes to judge Essex poetry contest

George Szirtes will be judging this year’s Essex poetry festival’s open poetry competition. The closing date is 30 July, with prizes - first prize £500 - handed out at the poetry festival in October, and winners and runners-up invited to read their poems. Prize-winning poems will also be published on the festival website. The entry fee is £3 per poem or £10 for 4 poems.
