Not quite a poetic slam

Write your words and go with ‘em

Just think of a simple rhythm

That’s not the only beat score

Cos’ there’s four beat styles more

Covering quite a range

Poetry to make a change

Beat about community

About promoting unity

Beat to make your enemies frown

When you won’t be beaten down

The last beat, rituality

When you’re dealing with spirituality

So now I hope to understand

All five beats ready at hand
