Closing date is 31 July for the 2011 Muslim Writers awards, which welcomes submissions of work from Muslim writers aged over 16 across the world. As well as a poetry award, other categories include novel, short story, children’s story, screenplay, blogger, and published novel. Entries don't have to focus on topics of Islam or Muslim identity, although this is equally welcome. All unpublished entries should be submitted electronically through online submissions managers  Submishmash, unless already submitted by post before 16 June. All entries should be submitted in the English language. Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in London in November 2011. More details
