As I Leave
We sit and talk about everyday things
the things which annoy us
you don't like the puddles rain brings
it soaks you upto your knees
Your loneliness seems to be my bliss
cause your feeling alone
I enjoy your kiss
I heard you cry for the first time last night
quietly
your tears scarred my eyes
When they come to take me away
i'll say I cannot leave
and if the time may come
my final day
I wish you comfort
as you grieve
We all must pay a service to this place
we can only hope
Our service doesn't come at a cost
when the battlefields have burnt away
the soldiers will be lost
a sealed envelope may decide my future
the words that are written on the page
mean were too late
Kiss your eyes
and leave
take care
I hope to see you there
Kiss your face
and leave
and leave
be well
Treat yourself well
We sit and ry to figure out what it all means
how far does the universe go
will a parallel universe allow us to live out our dreams?
I try to anticipate the sadness
Sound out the screams
We all must go away and leave
at least once
to a place
we don't know
feelings of alienation when we go
Kiss your eyes
and leave
take care
I hope I see you there
let go of your hand
and leave
i'll write you poems on the moon
and hope my return comes soon
As your hand drops from mine
I'm lost in my own mind
the right words
impossible to find
So easy to say something small
the tear that fell to my palm
says it all

I think this is a poem that needs a couple of reads to let everything sink, which I guess is usually a good thing! Interesting......
