The Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University has announced a new series of free author events for autumn 2011, presented in partnership with the International Anthony Burgess Foundation <http://www.anthonyburgess.org/> .


The lineup is:

29 September: Rachel Cusk

20 October: Mimi Khalvati and Carola Luther (part of the 2011 Manchester Literature Festival)

27 October: Colin Bateman

10 November: Naomi Alderman

24 November: Laura Wilson

8 December: Alan Hollinghurst

The authors will be reading from and talking about their work, and answering questions from the audience. Refreshments will be available to purchase from the bar, and Blackwell’s <http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk/jsp/welcome.jsp>  will be running a special book stall, with signing, after each event.


All of these events are free, and all are welcome to attend – no need to book in advance – just turn up on the night. Readings will take place in the Engine House at the IABF, Cambridge Street, Manchester M1 5BY, from 6.30-8.00pm
