Magic bus

A double-decker bus ride into town

To Manchester Museum - have you been?

The Iron Age Lindow Man lay on the ground

One leg chopped off, the other one not seen

Sacrificed for society’s well-being

Then up one floor, Egyptian artefacts

A human skeleton, a climbing green

Chameleon, iguanas, tomato frogs

Then down again to the bones of T-Rex

And (dead) insects aplenty can be found

Took the bus back to Didsbury for beans

Sausages, chips, chicken curry, and next

To the park for a spin round and around

And then my daughter and me had ice cream

Hello, Antonio

When I read that you meeting in person it make me feel so much left out. It is such a nice feeling to be able to meet the other fellow poet. Thank you Antonio for sharing the beauty of your city with in your poetry lines...I feel if I was walking there on foot.

Great write!

Hi Antoninoni,
Looks like you had a good day. You've certainly managed to write an interesting sonnet from it anyway. I like the way everything seems to slot in place to create a nice rhythm.

I went into a shop in Wigan a while ago which was selling dead bugs and beetles in jewellery.
Apparently it's the "in thing" as far as raising spiritual awareness is concerned. I decided to give them a miss.
