Manchester City

Yes, cities seem to be necessities

We fit in these immensities, sardines

In our tin buses, trains, trams. Salford Quays

To Albert Square, please. Tins of human beans

All the same, indistinguishable. Deans-

gate, mustn’t be late, it’s nearly ten. Clock

Is ticking, Town Hall chimes, coffee beans, means

Another day’s work. Time’s gone when I’d mock

The race; the pace is hot, I’ve got to stock

Up on caffeine. The universities

Have been and gone with all their dons and deans

And I am one of their sons, their lost flock

The shocking costs, the mounting bills and fees

The billboards mock if you’ve not got the means

Wrote this late last night when very drunk and assumed it was rubbish. It's not too bad though so i'll post it. It's a lot better than today's which is not worth posting here, trust me!

I don't know how you do it! If I wrote stuff when I was pissed, I would either be unable to read my handwriting or it would be rude enough to get this website shut down! lol

You wrote this when drunk? Wow! I have to say coming back from Manchester to Wigan on a sardine train is not enjoyable.

Hi Antoninioni,
What's so ridiculous and sardines as beans?
They're great on toast!

Try to write a univocal poem eh! It starts to go wonky after clock and gets serious instead of more ridiculous.
