Pennine poet and playwright Char March, who has just published her fourth collection, A Thousand Natural Shocks, with Indigo Dreams, will be performing at Ilkley Literature Festival on Sunday 9 October. Char’s most recent writing project has been the Pennine Watershed, based in the South Pennines, in which she has been running workshops and events with groups including deaf children from Bradford; Asian women from Keighley; and sheltered housing residents from Hebden Bridge. A three-month exhibition in the gallery at Cliffe Castle museum, Keighley, beginning from 24 September, will display work from the project.
