WHERE DO YOU GO WHEN YOU GO WHERE YOU DO?

Darling, when I hold your hand,

There's something I don't understand,

It's hard for me to say.

Though you may be close to me

Am I the person that you see

With your eyes so far away?

Where do you go when you go where you do?

Have I been fooling myself that you're true?

Behind your eyes do you see someone new?

Where do you go when you go where you do?

Lately, you're lost in a world of your own,

And though you're beside me I feel all alone.

It would be kinder to tell me goodbye

Than leave me like this but without saying why.

Where do you go when you go where you do?

I saw that far-away look and I knew

It isn't me that you take there with you

To that secret place that you go when you do..

Stella/Lynn - it's great to know how you latched on so readily to the title. I'm a huge
fan of the lyricists of yesteryear and wanted
to create something that brought back the
way they wrote. You are my kind of audience!
Who can ever forget a title like "The Night We
Called It A Day"?

I agree with Stella, I really like the title line, and it is all so lyrical. Good one.
