Love Games

The way the muscles tremble

At the corners of your mouth

When you’re trying not to grin.

The way your shoulders shake

With silent laughter

When you don’t want to give in.

The way your eyes flash with humour

When you decide to retaliate,

The way you laugh when caught off guard

And realise much too late.

The tenderness that alights in your eyes

When you think no one else can see.

I wonder if she knows how lucky she is,

If only all this were for me.

Thank you for your kind comment, Steve.

Thanks Greg, I'm sure you are right about the sense of humour, but I've heard it works both ways too ;)

Very well-observed, Lynn. Don't they say a sense of humour is the way to a woman's heart?
