Autumn Dawn
The sun is low in the east,
moon up high, north-west.
They kiss my cheeks
as I wander out
to greet the day.
There’s a chill in the air,
a promise in the sky.
Fasten my jacket,
I’m on my way.
Soon it will be dark
at this early hour,
just another month.
I shall stay longer
snuggled up in bed.
Sun peeps over the rooftops,
the moon will soon be gone,
hands deep in my pockets,
no clouds in my head…

Agree with all the sentiments in the comments, Lynn. Thoroughly enjoyed.
