Fated Bubble of Warmth
Fated Bubble of Warmth
We live within the
Auspices of time
Borrowed only
To cajole a pleasant
Place of comfort
From the heckles
And the baiting
And nothing fates
Each life that we
Portray unless
Crossing governors
Of spite we
Persist a melancholy bruise
Defending positions
Of the ego
While shaking hands
With demons
Bargaining a fix
Of Brown or Diamond White,
Amphetamines and
Cargo planes
Affecting dopamine
And chemistry’s
Illusory and fantasy
A hitch upon causality
And be the peoples populous
Echoing thoughts of sanctuary
Sail the ships to freedom
Dancing on the landscapes
Of seas they call tranquillity
Of non coherent thought,
Navigate by sudden stars
Sparkling like champagne
The explosions gone
All awry – the beckoning
Of quandary the jibbing
Past the compass
Under swells
And over peaks
Out to sea
Out to sea
Out to sea
Through a labyrinth of mind.
The coming down
From bloods of moons
Lasts forever,
Shaded and jaded
Laden with guilt,
And it wasn’t just enough
Now you’re sitting in troughs
Of depression with
Co-dependency upon
The chemicals you now
Court to cancel fear,
And it wasn’t near
The brink of unknowns,
It wasn’t near the drink
That staggered home
It wasn’t the love gone sour –
It was ego,
It was freefalling for a panic
That you have to live a life,
And now your wife,
The dame you never met
Sells honeysuckle sweets
For a strangers fancy
And your children,
Are taken into care,
And colder still is the needle
That brings closer;
A fainted bubble of warmth.

Hi Noetic, thanks for taking me through the labyrinth of your mind. I never dabbled myself but that last line seems to personify the experience of many that do.
Am still looking out for that book you recomended which was quite well written up on Google. I enjoyed your work.
