NO ONE LOVES A DENTIST
No one loves a dentist, friend,
Like surgeons and the knife;
No one means it personally,
It's just a fact of life.
No one likes reminding, friend,
About their rotten teeth;
The dee-cay on the surface
And who knows what beneath.
No one likes the visits, friend,
The waiting in that queue;
The numbness when the treatment ends
And your mouth won't work for you.
No one minds being laid back, friend,
Except in a dental chair;
You'd rather be busy anyway
And anywhere but there.
No one loves a dentist, friend,
It's just a fact of life;
And it doesn't make it easier
When your dentist is your wife.

After years of being NHS, I went "private" after a tooth broke one Christmas (why is it that sort of thing happens at such times?!).
My own main memory is the pain suffered by my bank account.
