Our Guest Poet
Proper Wigan, the Tudor’s own Joy France!
Humour and warmth permeate, local dialect has been heard and toast has been known to seduce! Difficult, sometimes darker subjects from home and abroad may also feature on the menu. Verse primarily concerned with emotional connections can be savoured and Joy might serve up her award winning poem (previously performed at this very venue)…not to be missed!
Our Guest Musician
Dave 'bass-baritone' Gilbey
Dave trained classically before coming to sing folk songs. These days he applies his rich baritone voice to classics, Irish and English folk songs, poems set to music etc. For me though his voice really shines when he performs American spiritual songs- wonderful.
