big fat gypseys on the telly
I love me big fat gypseys on the telly with thier gorgeous ways of talking really fast and wearing ugly fashions that only look good up on a trapeze or on a Saturday dance school stage.
I love the way we used to run around the dance comp grounds like a pack of wild animals and my face was always caked up in dust and I learned how to clap my hands faster than yours and sing at the same time.
I love the cheek of that 13 year old boy saying in all seriously he had more than 100 girls round the country
I love the night you all turned up in a big truck and I was delighted youd come from wales and was the only one to talk with these coal dust boys with missing teeth. but its only when I look back I realise you had a voice of 100 places
I love that when I had to go and see mrs stokes that she didn’t bite my head off at all because I couldn’t take the children swimming. That even though it was nearly night the light from her caravan was warm and none of the children really minded but just a bit delighted that id come to stand on site and walked on and off on my own in fear and relief
I love that we have the same name but all your eyes were blue
And while I m not walking im talking
And when im not talking im sleeping
And I only want to go away when there are 50 hundred of us.

Hi Rach,
I've just discovered your 'big fat gypseys on the telly'.
I really like the way you've put this together ie observations and reality.
Regards
Mike
