Calling all Manchester city reading groups!
Please note this is limited to reading groups based in the Manchester City Council area only.
Manchester Libraries, Time to Read and DXN (Diversity Exchange Network) are launching Manchester Reads ALoud, a reading project which will run across the city focussing on The Decibel Penguin Anthology Volume 1: New Voices from a Diverse Culture. A series of writer visits to Manchester groups, readings in unusual places, and other special events are in the process of being planned.
As part of this project we are doing some research to find out more about the reading group ‘scene’ in Manchester. So, if you are in a reading group based in the city, we would love to hear from you! Every reading group that gets in touch will be entered into a prize draw to win a set of Decibel Anthologies plus copies of the prize-winning novel, Small Island by Andrea Levy, and invited to special Manchester Reads ALoud events. We are also looking for book reviewers for the DXN magazine.
Simply send the following details to dxnmag@can.uk.com. We’d then like to get in touch to find out a bit more about your reading group.
