Found at Hebden Bridge arts festival - Winston Plowes

entry picture

There’s a good measure of poetry at Hebden Bridge arts festival, until Sunday 8 July. Radio 4 Saturday Live regular Kate Fox will be MC at a slam at Stubbing Wharf pub at 8pm on Sunday 1 July; on Saturday 7 July, on the festival fringe, Todmorden poet Emma Decent will present a one-woman show, My Heart is a Place Where Flowers Grow, at the White Lion; on Sunday 8 July six Poetry Parnassus poets – from Armenia, Spain, Burma, Singapore, Cameroon and Tuvalu - will be appearing at the Little theatre in Holme Street; and Hebden Bridge’s own Winston Plowes will be popping up at events and locations throughout the festival. His project, Found in Hebden, will involve a range of experiments in found poetry, harvesting words form the people of Calderdale and visitors to the festival and from them creating his own work. You can follow his progress online here.

Oh! I thought it said "Fobundinhebooezz" - but I never could spell - or see straight! Seriously, I think it is great! Hope the whole festival goes well!
