Grandad's Feet

Are long and

broad

and tell a story

of their own.

But I can

only remember their

safe carriage of my small

childish feet

dancing step by step

in time,

seeming so large and remote.

Now they’re just

average-sized.

Thanks very much for your comments - not sure about changing the last 2 lines, but an interesting prompt to look again at it.

I like this a lot, but somehow the last two lines don't quite work. I know what you're saying but for me it needs even more of a punch.
