Performance poets Sophia Blackwell, pictured, and Paula Varjack will be appearing at L Fest, a weekend celebration of lesbian culture and community, from 13-16 July, at West Midlands Showground, Shrewsbury. Blackwell has appeared at Glastonbury and Edinburgh; her debut collection, Into Temptation, is published by Tollington Press. Varjack has been nominated for best performance by an international poet at the Farrago Slam awards. There will be workshops and open mic, music, cinema, and visual art. The bill is headed by novelists Sarah Waters and Stella Duffy. More details
