Excuse Me
Excuse Me!
Excuse me but,
Do I know you I mean,
Do I really know who you are?
Can I find you?
Can I really find you –
Can I find out who,
You really be?
Do you know me?
Do you really – no I mean
Really,
Know who I am?
Are we together?
Are we in unison as human and,
Are we striding the same path –
Going the same way?
Are we so alike?
So fragile bearing bruises
Making excuses for the hurt
We have endured.
2
Do you know me –
No I mean do you really know me
And if so,
Can you heal the heart
That find difficulty in forgiveness?
Do ‘You,’ forgive me?
Can you take away all strafe
And see beyond the outside,
And know the Man inside?
Can you tend upon his child,
Excuse the rudimentary passing’s
Of his life and heal for,
He’ll forgive all – but not himself!
‘Can,’ you know me?
Are you wanting of enquiry as,
The years are getting quicker –
And if he fails himself,
He’ll never rest until it’s done.
Excuse me……………………………….but,
Michael J Waite 24th July 2012.
