Three Days

                              Three Days

Things – places people come to be,

Happenings everywhere telling tales,

We’re never stopping to admire though –

Each; caught sadly unawares -

The vastness of life - everywhere you

Cast open eyes yet,

     All, took for granted –

The fastness of living never slowing

And, we’re always asking for a

Showing of the afterlife,

Consider now three days to live,

Three days to chase away all scorn

Three days and ‘All,’ is done,

     Would you,

Spend each day shaking everybody’s hand,

Cast your eyes at night

On the loneliness of stars,

Would you

Marvel at the trees -

The birds – the animals,

Would you,

Sparkle resting finger on a pulse,

Tend a baby’s cry

Feed the children hungered?

Would you

Fly around the globe to say

Hello to those you’ve never

Time for?

     What would you do if

Only three days - you have?

What would you do?

What would you do?

Fight a long lost foe

Not fearing death or prison!

Kill those you have disliking of

For they’ll live on remember – No……

……we sit upon this World of Life,

We say we treasure that we’re

Never mindful of,

And we’re driven a thousand

Miles per hour

Upon our secret agendas,

Never knowing when

Three days has to come,

We’re fighting wars

And upholding instruments

Of death and yet,

We say we’re all pro-active

Here on Earth.

……three days yet to come!

Do you extend the heart

To all as you say upon the World –

Farewell,

Or do you look your very being

Within the eye upon the mirror,

And say ‘Sorry’ to yourself.

Three days is all you have,

Can you say sorry to each and

Every happening you’ve forgot?

Would it take three days?

Or a lifetime of excuses?

     Three days to treasure life,

Three days to know the happenings

You’ve missed,

Three days to say I love you,

Three days to say a thank you,

Before you’re laid to rest,

Then……Why……Not……Now!
