Why not try for poetry's glittering prizes?
Two of the most glittering prizes in the poetry world are up for grabs again. The National Poetry Competition, first prize £5,000, is being judged this year by Vicki Feaver, WN Herbert, and Nick Laird. The deadline is 31 October, and you can find more entry details here. The Manchester Poetry Prize offers £10,000 for the best portfolio of three to five new poems. The deadline for this one is 31 August. The judges are Ian Duhig, Frances Leviston, and Adam O’Riordan.
