The Offenders dead hand.

 

The devil animates

The Offenders dead hand,

That serves ice-cream to children

That turns into sand.

Trusted with a title

He hid the offence,

He tempted me

With sugar and guile,

While secretly

Abusing my friend

With bribes of pocket money for innocence to spend

I can still see his face quite clearly in my mind’s eye

And I know that I probably always will, until the day I die,

I thought it strange

That a man like he

Would want to be Friends

With a young boy like me,

I looked in his house

That’s as far as it goes,

Then rode off on my bicycle

Quickly up the road.
