Three Wise Monkey’s
Three Wise Monkey’s
Confucius had a code,
Engraved above the door,
Depicting mans life cycle
Looking down forever more.
According to the second of eight
Engraved at, Temple Toshogu
Because those Buddhist monks, had their point of view.
Bringing their philosophy, over to Japan
Back in the eight-century,
The Buddhist was “The Man”
New ideas a way of life,
Those mystic apes,
Make it sound so nice.
Festivals held to celebrate or
Tell all heaven of your mistakes.
Fifty-ninth day or every twelve years
Would your wrongs fall on deaf ears?
Would your rights be never seen?
Through tight lips, praise would never ring
And yet throughout,
Our cycle of life
We hide behind chaotic strife.
