I am currently writing my first short, 5 poem Collection of poetry "A story to the plants that made them blush" is coming out in summer 2013 it will be available from me at "Poetry, Prose and Pints" events or through contacting me. It will be a simple paper leaflet costing 50p with any profit going to charity

Here is a teaser poem from the collection and a recording of me reading it, appolagies in advance for low audio quality, at the end of the recording my mic started to run away from me

In summer everything was wonderful
We were left, dropped, and fell together
then as flowers grew,
Intertwined wrapped round one another
We fought for the sun,
hid from the rain
Your lips cut holes into my neck as you plucked each thorn from me
I did the same to you,
and we were naked
You were picked

Autumn dragged through the trees
She told a story to the plants
That made them blush
She breathed wind down your hair,
You kissed along her neck to her breast
She ripped out your petals to test your love
Then blew away and knocked you off your feet
Mine was the hand you grasped for
your fingers, laced in dew slid
through my grip

Winter waltzed its way in,
Lifting collars and hoods,
turned his words to butts
And severed all ties from summer
Snow clad the ground, it kept us inside
The nights didn't end, mornings never began, you melted through my chest

Spring came
She whispered new beginnings
She promised you the sun
And again we bloomed

I hope John Coopey is a friend of yours - he's being very rude! (As usual! ;)

Nice work, danyul. This should get the birds. Mind you, with your face-for-radio you're gonna need a good poem! Good luck on wed - sorry i'm double booked and can't make it.
