The Oak Tree IV
Not one, but two shadows cast onto the ground
The oaks stand vowed apart in pride
Beautifully synchronised
Too stubborn to reach out to touch
As the seasons pass, they spy and hide
With no eyes to watch each other
Fluttering leaves whisper between their worlds
time momentarily stops
Don’t forget….
Dream with me now, And when I meet you on the road to nowhere, remember me. And when I ask for your safety, save me. And when I ask for your forgiveness, forgive me. And when I ask for your beauty, bury me. And if I ask you for your love, Then I will know that something is already broken.*
Don’t forget….
And when the clouds cross each full moon
It shines its magical light on the both of them
renewing the mutual commitment
to their field of loneliness

You compose fluidly with a haunting beauty that eludes most writers. Your diction delights, your structure woos and the hidden drummer within your lines pulses like a heart.
And I'm done. Can't believe I've really said that - but I'm not changing it.
