Poets to talk about rare toad and tropical birds at London Zoo

Poets Glyn Maxwell and Ruth Padel will be revealing their thoughts about the Mallorcan midwife toad and humming birds, bleeding heart doves and amethyst starlings in separate talks at the London Zoo this month and next. On Thursday 20 June Maxwell be giving his thoughts on a rare toad that is dear to his heart at the Reptile House at 7-9pm, and on Tuesday July 16 Padel will be talking about three tropical birds that fascinate her at the Blackburn Pavilion, also at 7-9pm. Their appearances are part of a series of writers’ talks at the zoo. More details
