Anthology seeks to reveal the 'real lives' of Muslim women
An anthology of poetry and short stories that aims to portray the “real lives” of Muslim women, including subjects such as forced and arranged marriage, female genital mutilation and the economic inequality of women is seeking submissions irrespective of age, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. The Muslim Women’s Network Uk website adds: “The aim of this project is to compile an anthology of short stories and poems that will provide a voice to Muslim women and the wider community in a novel way and assist in tackling the very real and pertinent issues affecting us all.” The deadline for submissions to the anthology is 31 August.
