Action
(This isn't quite right but here goes . .)
Action!
Now there’s a word I’ve longed to say
Let me be a film director just for a day
I’d bathe my sets with natural light
And keep my close ups tight
I’d cast a beautiful girl as my star
and keep her key light bright
She’d be in all my master shots
And I’d fade the soundtrack in soft
Action!
(Dissolve shot of Withington hospital)
It’s the day a child is born
Cut to a close up of the baby boy
Swift dissolve to the tracking shots of growing up
-Infants, junior and comprehensive schools
-Time to learn the rules
Cut to the wedding day; close up of the bride.
-Tracking shots, panning wide
Mix in all those smiling faces
Hold it as long as you can
before we gently fade in
Divorce, new job, new friends
Life changes, following new trends.
No need for special effects
But this guy is getting older
(And we need the make up girl)
Especially for the death scene
(This is going to be awesome on the screen!)
Cue the sad music
Close up of the loved ones tears
-Cut!
