It's a truth in every business - the essence of all trade,

To come up with some thing or work for which you can be paid.

If in payment there's a lack...of cash return, a dearth -

There's the old way to recall - goods for money's worth.

 

If you have no gift for inventing, or creating from your mind,

Travel to look up those who have...seek and ye shall find!

Where family used to rally round and support all those within

Now folk look to "society" to provide them with free "tin".

 

But, of course, it's never free - it comes from another's pay,

From those who are taxed on what they earn and fund the easy way.

Benefit the short-term by all means - help the temporary need,

But care must be taken to avoid the long term idle greed.
