In to the night
Into the night
The night was dark, just like any other, hiding dark secrets in a shrouded of cover
Lights reflecting a phosphorus glow, waiting for day and darkness to go
Shadows dancing down every street, taking head on, every surface they meet
The wind started to blow, howling with speed, looking to ravage with savagery and greed
The night was alive with creatures unknown, waiting in shadows, waiting alone
People go by, huddled and cloaked, it's started to rain, there going to get soaked
The crowd starts to thin there going home, not many left now, their on there own
The creatures that wait, are starting to move, stalking the people, their wanting some food
Nearly home, approaching their doors, what follows behind them, with very sharp claws
Sneaking and creeping, nearing their pray, ready for food, hasn't eaten all day
Closer and closer by every move, getting much closer, to their heavenly food
His prey turns around, looks in his eyes, their prey start to scream, and say his goodbyes
He's running now, running at speed, ever so hungry, running too feed
His prey put his key, into the door, time seems to stand and starts to run slow
Begging and praying, please let me in, there's a monster behind me, he's starting to grin
The moments pass bye, ever so slow, his prey going to die and he already knows
His prey goes weak and buckles right down, starting to cry and there's no one around
The creature is fast, raises his claws, in a short while now, he'll be screaming, no more
Up with his hands, the prey tries to block, the power to much, too much of a shock
Blood spilling out, onto the floor, where there was life, there is life no more
Claws that are made, for stripping of meat, is prey was to easy, and easily beat
Screams finished, the prey is now dead, that crashing blow, that took off his head
Away into the night, he carries his prey, he will be fed, before the breaking of day
The key, is still hanging, inside of the door, the body has gone, to be seen of, no more
Night has faded, it's now turning light, no signs of a creature, no where in sight
The days will end, so the nights will return, so will the creatures, for their hunger will burn
So be careful, when stepping out the door, what's around the next corner, nobody's sure
