Take a chance to read or sing at Write Out Loud’s Risk A Verse open mic night at the Red and Green Club, Milnsbridge, Huddersfield, on Thursday, 27 March at 7.30pm. Entry is £1 for non-members. Showcase poet this month is David Lindsay, aka Monologue Dave, host of Talking Zebras, Cleckheaton, and Write Out Loud website team member. David is developing a deserved reputation for superb, off-by-heart renditions of his own and others’ work, both deft and daft. See his Write Out Loud Profile and his berry good poem at the 2013 Poetry Jam.The Red and Green Club is housed in the former Milnsbridge Socialist club building, a venue that is clearly going back to its roots.
