fracture

Once
I had a leaking bucket
In which I collected
My time
And I looked
Occasionally
At all the broken
Seconds
And fractured minutes
Wondered if there was
A glue
With which
I could piece it
All
Back together
Wondered if
It was worth it
I thought about
All the lost
Time
And why I'd bothered
To catch its
Fragments
In a piece of
Plastic
A man made object
For a man made thing
Barely practical
Barely reasonable
Yet totally necessary
In my drive
To pretend
That the way
I spent
My time
Had purpose
Had reason
Made sense
Of how
I chose
To waste
My life

Ah yes, we all have so many of those fragments of time we could benefit from reclaiming! Well expressed thoughts...

Best wishes, Dave
