For Writer/Performers


Performing your own poetry, prose or stand-up material
can be a dream or a nightmare -

why not make it a pleasure for yourself and your audiences
by taking time out to work developing your skills and confidence?

As part of its 2007/08 programme Spotlight is organising
a series of workshops designed to help you do just that.

The next of these FREE 2 hour workshops will be held at
The Gregson Centre, Moor Lane, Lancaster

on

Sunday December 9th

2.00 - 4.00pm


The Workshops are open to any writers in the north west
who would like to gain more confidence in performing their own words at live-writing events.

Places are limited and MUST be booked in advance.

*    pick up basic performance techniques
     (such as how to centre yourself, breathe
      easily, moderate your voice, use the stage,
make the microphone your friend)

*    play around with words, ideas, physicality

*    experiment with improvisation

*    meet and work with other writers

*    generally extend your range
