Be Real

Be Real

You take me on

Give everything you can

Holding back your heart

Sitting on your hands

You never speak your mind

Living down a dead-end road

As I lie unaware

Of what you need to show

It’s too late now, I’m gone

You should have told me what’s wrong

If you could have been real

Then I’d know how to feel

If I think you’re happy

Then I know you’re happy

But you’re hiding something

And I don’t see a thing

After months of faking

Your will is slowly breaking

Underneath the mask you wear

Disguising truth that isn’t fair

Another day of boredom and pain

That ends with a long conversation

I should have left before the rain

There was never any consolation

You still try

You still cry

I say no

And then you go

My head’s full of memories

So sweet and warm

We’ve ended our misery

A cold heart battle worn

Enough drama

I’ll choose to be alone

Hope for pleasant karma

And work to save for home

My future is full of life

Full of hope

Full of strife

But love will be there

For if there is one fact I know above all else

Family love will survive

And working for mine is my real life
