What I Want
What I Want
If life was easy, and I could buy
A future full of love and peace
Then why would I even try?
If my mind was mature, and I could know
That life was meant for the life that follows it
Then I’ll be someone my progenies will wish they could have known
I want an equal society that fairly represents
The rights of all individuals from any continent
That share a moral faith from their own personal god
Celebrating life by living science you can’t experiment on
I want a loving companion, a honest Earth child
Someone to confide in, to take and get lost in the wild
A life-long friend, with me 'til the end, who our children can depend
By our hearts we will tend, by our lives we will defend
I want my children to respect their Mother Earth
The beauty of life, the miracle of birth
I’ll teach them the character I’ve learned from my Father
I’ll give them the Love that I’ve learned from my Mother
I want to travel the world, sail the seven seas
Be a hero in the eyes of a girl, find the cure to a disease
Discover beauty in all living things
Never fear what the future may bring
