What I Need
What I Need
If the world gave advice, unbiased and true
About what we really need
Then I wouldn’t be writing this to you
If my conscious was satisfied, at ease and in control
What I need would be all around me
Cast to the wind I join the eternal soul
I need to grasp my future, the dreams and aspirations
Protect my interests, my love and inspirations
Hold my head high; say what I really want to say
Be a shoulder to cry on, and kiss all the pain away
I need to know what I really need to know
And travel places I need to go
Feel the earth from inside my soul
Speak its wisdom to us all
I need to think unclouded
Refresh my mind and soul
Be the one unbounded
Released from under the mull
I need to be embraced
Loved and adored
Looked in the face
And told to give more
I need to live life
Laugh at anything
Know strife
Feel everything
I need to know myself
Before I pursue a wife
Not be able to help
Lessons learned in my life
