The Poetry Society's National Poetry Competition 2009 is now open: First Prize £5000, Second prize £1000, Third Prize £500.

This is an international competition.

The winners will be published in Poetry Review, on the Poetry Society website, in Aesthetica Magazine and also get the chance to read at Ledbury Poetry Festival.

Judges: Daljit Nagra, Ruth Padel, Neil Rollinson. Closes 31 October 2009. Free 2nd entry for Poetry Society Members.
