So that I don't fall

Distracting me from my intentions

Just talking, telling me what I want to hear

Intentivly listening showing me affection

Telling the things I did need to hear

"I'm here for you"

I feel the effort of you wanting to reach out

But it was at this moment

I cry for help, before anyone would notice

How are people too absorbed in everything but life

But then you said those key words

That pulled me away from the shores

A life preserver tossed out that caught me

"But someone did"

It was in those three words, that brought me back

Back from the edge as a matter of fact

That moment that everything changed

The day I found a friend
