A Journey In A Lyric
You've not written a poem for a while now,
the thought dropped in on me last week,
your struggling to pick up that pen and paper,
an answer to you're creative block is what you seek,
you need to pull yourself together young man,
when did you become so wordshy and lyrically weak.
It's not at all like you to throw in the towel,
so pause for a moment and take a look back,
find the point where you're creations came from,
but don't push to hard or under the pressure you'll crack,
ease your way in to that place of serenity,
then put it to paper with great charge and attack.
All you have to do is allow yourself to see,
the words that are needed are in there to find,
pick up that pen and let your thoughts flow,
from right back in the depths of your sullen mind,
put it all together like you've always known how,
the way you've already had it pre-designed.
With my mind set and a lyric almost done,
I feel back to my best like where it all began,
and with a better understanding of myself,
I carry on now knowing how to stay calm,
and so this poem has now become a new piece of the puzzle,
falling right into place with no cause for alarm.
