spinning wheel by Twilbury Wist Tuesday 17th February 2015 7:44 am I follow Only my Shadow As she walks Through The murky Depths Flowing within And without me Inside and out Of this world We both Half inherit Half inhabit And I suppose At times She is My guide And I hers As much As anyone Can guide anything Through these Cold and endless Corridors And the sun And the light Of the moon Make her swell Though she shrinks When the starlight Is hidden But I know She's there Always has been Always will be I don't need To sew My shadow To my heal She's the one Thing I'll carry through Whether I want to Or not And when The choice is removed It makes things easy And I will drink To that And then Sleep And the world It will turn Whether I wind its handle Or not And that Is a thing Of beauty And horror In equally Painful Measures
