Biography
Hi, I'm John and I love antiquity. Poetry, art, mythology, history, even shields and armor, and relics; just about anything old I'm into. I like classic rock as well as modern. I am learning a romance language, Spanish, which I enjoy studying. I love to read and write poetry, and have for years. I hope I can find other fellow poets to follow, as well as add my voice to the scene.

A Lovely Place to Be I've my garden, a lovely place to be, With a place in the shade to recline And watch the dance of wind-shaken leaves, And plenty of fresh air to breathe With hints of earthen fragrance divine. My garden's quite a lovely place to be. Summer days can be so kind, When accompanied by a gentle breeze, With a place in the shade to recline. And all my heart takes in the serenity, With nothing more important to do than lie And watch the dance of wind-shaken leaves. ____________________ she hides in the woods, he peeks through leaves and limbs, cherry-blossom sun her palms are roses, she loves to count red petals with her lips the rain is passion, she falls so deeply in love she forgets her name _____________________ the city we find love in so many places, near and where we are, are so many heartbeats pushin' the city life. _____________________
