VI. Little Fish
VI. Little Fish
Dive and swim in the pond.
Drift by smoothly, feeling the sun.
Be happy and free with no bond.
Swim and float by because your journey has begun.
Swim my dear little fish
For this is your granted wish.
The bowl feels too tight
It has grown too small.
So I will set you free
Maybe one day you will come back to me.
Struggle against the ripping current with all your might.
Be prepared to travel day and night.
Wherever you go the world has it all, and do not think that you are too small.
The world can give its pleasures
If you are willing to go beyond the measures.
The larger ponds will have bigger fish who may be friends.
Perhaps meeting these new fish will benefit you, it depends.
A warning you must heed!
Oh, little fish, please be careful what you commit or you could bleed.
Be open - minded but stay conscientuous.
Watch out for the pretentious and the cold - hearted.
Stay strong and true,
Even if the predators hunt after you.
Learn to ride with the monstrous wave
That way in the future you will never cave.
So long my little friend
Good luck in your new endeavors.
Keep on swimming in the deep end
And may you live enlightened in your adventures.
