I. Phoenix It flies and soars to the sky, The sense of freedom and power surging within. It is the one in control, even though it may commit to sin. Its beauty reflecting its body and wings, Makes everyone envious for certain things. To be something that magnificent is only fit for the gods. It is hopeless to even count the odds. It can be human - man or woman. It can be a beast, such as a griffin or a dragon. Or some bird high in the air, Carried with heart and feathers. Perhaps an angel or a spirit. Only the imagination can interpret. Watching the majestic roam powerful and free, As the phoenix takes off in flight, Makes me want to be near the light. To flee and escape, No body, mind, or soul could ever capture its cape. It will be loyal to one love, And sing sweetly as it descends from above.
