II. The Night

Stars hang above the clouds,

Close to the moon, that is hidden behind the clouds. What lurks and prawls within the night,

Can sometimes cause quite a fright.

It has no limbs or a body.

It conceals no heart or a mind.

People stop short and listen, wondering if their pace should quicken?

Children never play in the dark, they always need comfort when at the park.

At least the moon is glowing bright.

People feel at ease when it casts its white light.

The shadows recoil when it comes near their corners.

Allowing people to see and pass their tortures.

One step at a time while in the light, makes people feel hopeful from the fright.
